We are working to get you uniforms as quickly as possible and info will be posted as soon as your uniforms are in.
If you do not have a uniform you are still able to participate to all activities - please dress appropriately for weather and it is suggested that you wear black dress pants and a white collared shirt.
Level 3 Cadets:
Level 3 Cadets will be instructing this week (March 21, 2019). If you have not been assigned a lesson, you may choose one from the list in the PO 309 document (Link) and contact WO1 Devlin (email) with your choice. The PO 309 document also includes the information that should be covered as part of your lesson.
Level 5 Cadets:
75 Squadron will be participating in an inter-squadron peer mentoring program. This program will include squadrons from all over the country and will be comprised of 5 Level 5 cadets. Each cadet will be paired with a cadet from another squadron, and each week, they will be given a reading, video or ethical scenario to discuss with their mentor, then lead a discussion on the topic of the week. This will be an exercise in how different units approach different problems. If you are interested, see Officer Cadet Merriam in the training office tonight.
Quota Summer Courses (General Training, Basic Level and Instructor Level)
At this time, we don’t know how many positions for each camp we will get or the dates for the courses. We will submit our requested numbers based on the application forms we receive. In March, we will receive a list from our Command group indicating how many positions we will get, at which time the CO will submit names based on our merit based selection for each cadet until all our spots are filled.
At this time, we don’t know which camp serial we will get, so we can’t tell you when the cadets could be away. This information should be available in April, but could be as late as May.
It is possible that we will be offered additional positions right up to the start day of the camp, but there is no guarantee.
